This specification page is a good indicator of what factors may be involved in a proper decision of Pyro Place fireplace unit. Be sure to read the relative information, decide how it may apply to your situation. Specific Pyro Place dimensions are relative to the types / models and sizes SIZING-UP PYRO PLACE FIREPLACES Firebox openings vary from standard dimensions into custom openings modified to accommodate the plethora of engineered mantles / cast fireplace facades, etc. With the Pyro Place engineering our nominal formula can be accommodating to almost any demands. SIZES - Pyro Place fireplace sizes and definitions are as follows: The #34 designates the finished opening of the firebox opening of the PATIO PYRO PLACE after the installation of the split firebrick. The #36 designates the damper size used for the firebox opening of the INDOOR PYRO PLACE. After you install "regular split" firebrick the finished firebox opening will be 34". Fire brick lining in the firebox is a mandatory phase of fireplace construction. Firebrick is not included in the kit due to the fact that they are readily available at any local mason supply and can be acquired for less money than it would cost to have us supply with the fireplace unit of choice. However, it is an option to include in any kit. We will supply this option for an additional fee - listed below. PYRO PLACE OPTION PRICES
PLANNING AND LAYOUT Planning and Layout is probably the most important consideration - it's all pre-thought to the final result. The better the plan, the better the result! Below find basic considerations for each model: Indoor & Patio. U.L. LISTED INDOOR MODEL - (size is determined by the damper size needed for that particular unit) 1.) Location - Be specific with the size fireplace and its proximity between windows, doors, etc. When the location is complete find & mark your centerline of the fireplace itself. 2.) Foundation
- A typical masonry foundation is required (not approved to set directly upon a
wood floor / structure). A typical masonry foundation would be of concrete
and/or block. When laying out the foundation consider what the fireplace unit
will have around it on the outside: brick, stone, cmu w/stucco. ex; if the unit
is a 36" the O.D. (outside dimensions) would be
3.) Hearth Extension - Hearth extension are an interior consideration and this is what holds up the interior facade & hearth - if your choice is masonry then it would be advisable to incorporate it when the hearth pedestal is poured (all masonry fireplaces should be supported on a hearth pedestal as shown in the illustration.
PATIO MODEL 1.) Location - When locating the placement of the Patio Pyro Place be sure to maintain proper distances from any structure. At no time will a Patio Pyro Place be enclosed or against any type of structure. The U.L. Listed Indoor Model will be required when used within a structure which can also be used as an outdoor / patio fireplace. 2.) Foundation - When including as a pre thought for a concrete patio please give same dimensioning considerations as described above so as to include a masonry foundation while pouring patio. Never set on the edge of existing patio - special considerations must be given so as not to break the patio or move around during potential weather situations ie: frost, etc.

CORE ADDENDUM & INSULATION PACKAGE - The CORE ADDENDUM & INSULATION PACK is an essential option until a complete understanding of its use is acquired via experience. The CORE ADDENDUM is a safety feature which becomes a default feature when natural brick, stone, cmu veneers are surrounding the Pyro Place Unit as would be in a custom situation. Most natural veneer surround require an air space between the veneer and structure behind, regardless it being masonry or wood or other material. The reason is for multi - purposes, preventing damage to the veneer and the structure during natural expansion activity. The Insulation package is a product installed completely around the Pyro Place which automatically ensures minimal expansion needed. In addition to that the primary value is additional fire protection in event any voids are left from installation that may not be visible to the naked eye or may be just patched over. This is a great feature for the mere cost during installation, especially when the unit may be surrounded in wood/framing. CORE ADDENDUM OPTION PRICES
